Mr. Deen joined Teeple Hall, LLP as an Associate in 2005. Mr. Deen's practice focuses on estate and business planning for high net worth individuals and closely-held businesses. Mr. Deen's practice also includes representing small and mid-sized businesses with respect to mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Deen's estate planning experience includes the preparation of revocable and irrevocable trusts, family limited partnerships and debt instruments in conjunction with sophisticated transfer tax and wealth preservation techniques. Mr. Deen has assisted in the administration of multi-million dollar estates and trusts, including the preparation of estate tax returns. Mr. Deen's experience in intellectual property matters includes conducting an extensive intellectual property audit in conjunction with a major corporate acquisition, preparing all types of copyright and trademark license and assignment agreements, as well as filing copyrights and trademark registrations. Mr. Deen also has experience representing tax-exempt organizations, including the preparation and submission of applications for tax-exempt status with the Internal Revenue Service.

Education & Licensure: Mr. Deen holds a B.A. in Business Administration (University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa, 2002) and a J.D. (California Western School of Law, San Diego, California, 2005). Mr. Deen is licensed to practice law in the State of California. Mr. Deen is also a licensed California Real Estate Broker, California Department of Real Estate License No. 01784092; Member, San Diego County Bar Association - Estate Planning Trust & Probate Section, Business and Corporate Law Section, and Young Lawyers Division; Member, American Bar Association - Young New Lawyers Division.
